Welcome to the Edmonton Construction Association
The Edmonton Construction Association (ECA) was incorporated in 1931 and is today the largest Non-Profit Construction Association serving the Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial Construction Industry in Western Canada.
ECA exists to advance the construction industry, through effective representation and service to our 1,100+ member firms. We are a member-driven organization – founded on the principles of integrity, leadership, quality, and value – and dedicated to excellence and innovation.
ECA members fall into four classifications: General Contractors, Trade Contractors, Manufacturers & Suppliers, and Associate Members (including Architects, Engineers and related professional services). ECA members are represented provincially by the Alberta Construction Association (ACA) and federally by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA).

Networking
Construction is still an industry where business is conducted in person, and where doors are opened by a handshake and a smile. This is why ECA hosts over 30 relationship-enhancing events per year, including our Meet and Greets, Golf Tournaments, and industry forums.
Education
ECA supports continuous improvement with over 50 courses per year, in critical areas including project management, risk, profitability, leadership, and construction contracts.
BuildWorks Canada
BuildWorks is the premier procurement and business development platform for the construction industry across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
The ECA acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, and respects the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community.
