At All Weather Windows, our vision is to improve the lives of families, one family at a time. We want to set individuals up for long term success by devoting time to aid in the construction of shelter for those in need.
We looked to our incredible community for support when we started our company and now it is our privilege to offer a helping hand to others.
As a Canada sponsor of the Habitat for Humanity Carter Work Project, our manufacturing employees built the windows in both Edmonton and Winnipeg and employees were onsite for the build.

The EllisDon Edmonton team is committed to changing our city, not just by building structures. We engage in these community support activities to influence our lives, and especially the lives of those around us. In Edmonton, our EllisDon volunteers have built 27 houses for Habitat for Humanity, since 2012. This activity is an excellent way to get out of the office, enjoy fresh air, exercise and build bonds between colleagues. Building with Habitat brings tangible results, and our staff is proud to have been part of such an important community initiative.

Testimonials
"I am much happier with our new painters. They started last Monday and will be finished 11 rooms by the end of today. They don't seem to be leaving the same big mess of sanding and paint on the floor that the last crew did; therefore, the rooms don't require as much clean up after. We are very happy and pleased to have SuperPro as our painters of choice." (Susan Watson, Centre Manager, Community and Housing Initiative, YMCA)
"Our building was looking a little tired and decided we needed to paint the outside of our building. SuperPro came to our location a number of times, did a walk around, helped us with the colour selection, and guided us through the process. After the building was complete we had a number of clients, board members, staff, and neighbours comment on the new colour and how our building stands out on the block. We have purchased a second Warehouse and SuperPro will be on the top of our list when we need to repaint." (Mark Doram, Director of Operations, Edmonton Food Bank)

EllisDon has been involved with Boyle Street Community Services since 2014. In 2015, EllisDon raised $20,000 for Boyle Street Community Services at our 10th Annual Edmonton Subtrade Appreciation Golf Tournament, a fantastic result, and the first time this inner city organization has ever had a golf tournament held in their honor. Our team also spends time at the Boyle Street Community Centre, preparing meals for the lunch drop-in program. In April and December 2015, our team served lunch to almost 500 people, and it is always on the calendar as a repeat activity, appreciated by our staff and a great team building experience.

On Dec 20th Edmonton Ledcor elves delivered holiday hampers to those in need. Thank you for your caring!

Communities are at the heart of our work, and we look to support them through our team and culture. This holiday season, we are contributing to a critical cause in need. Currently, communities have insufficient resources for those living with mental illness, leaving many to suffer in silence.
In the spirit of the season, we are giving the gift of hope by supporting the CMHA and their mission. This charitable organization provides much needed resources to address mental health issues with the help of over 10,000 staff and volunteers.

Each of us is moved by the plight of our neighbours in Fort McMurray and the Wood Buffalo Region.
On Wednesday, the ECA Board and Fort McMurray Construction Association (FMCA) met to discuss how ECA can best support our neighbours caught in the wildfires sweeping across the Wood Buffalo Region. We met with Charles Iggulden, FMCA President; Keith Plowman, Vice President; and Executive Director, Lana Maloney. 130 firms are part of the FMCA, and all are experiencing firsthand the impact of this historic disaster.
ECA Commits $100K to Long-Term Rebuilding
Of the 2600 damaged or destroyed structures, most are homes. While the scope of devastation is staggering, there is also a sense of relief that much of the city was spared. The fire came within a dirt road of Lana Maloney’s own neighbourhood.
The response of Canadians has been rapid and overwhelmingly generous. Present estimates place donations at around $90M. But the road to recovery will also require dedicated, long-term partners. This is where the ECA will have its impact. In a gesture of solidarity, compassion, and concern, the ECA Board is committing $100K from our operational reserve to support the rebuilding effort.
Economic Recovery for the Fort McMurray Construction Community
Evacuation has forced the FMCA to temporarily relocate operations to Edmonton, and the ECA Board has invited them to set up in our building. We're very happy to help.
The FMCA is experiencing an influx of new members from outside the Wood Buffalo region, who are joining in the hopes of participating in the reconstruction. But for short- and long-term economic recovery to take place, clean-up and construction dollars need to be spent locally. Therefore, the ECA Board stands with the FMCA in urging all purchasers of clean-up and construction to engage local labour, contractors, and suppliers.
Next Steps
While the local construction community can likely handle the rebuilding effort, ECA will be responsive to the FMCA leadership, and will call upon our members to help if needs outstrip local resources. In the meantime, we encourage you, our members, to give to local or national charities, as you are able. We would like to collect, support, and celebrate our combined efforts; please click HERE to read and add your giving to our list.
Other Canadian construction associations are eager to be involved, too. John DeVries, for example, called to find out how the Ottawa Construction Association can help. The ECA Board is pleased to work with the FMCA to coordinate efforts, and to highlight the efforts of the Canadian construction community as all of us rally to support one of Canada’s great cities and regions.
On behalf of your ECA Board, we thank you for your ongoing generosity and concern.
ECA President, Dave Bentley and Executive Director, John McNicoll,
