1. Convenient Access to over 1000 Construction Projects Annually
The Physical Plan Room receives in excess of 1000 construction projects annually for display and viewing by over 14,000 estimators. Members are able to book plans and specifications overnight and weekends, and order full size drawings at member rates. Also available to members: high speed Internet access, Industry publications, reference materials, Canadian and United States Construction Associations’ membership directories, copy and facsimile services.

The Electronic Plan Room COOLNet Edmonton, found at www.coolnetedmonton.ab.ca provides Industry access to some 1000 construction projects annually, including pre-bid, pre-qualification notices and bid results. Members have access to password protected on-line bidders lists, and many projects now have online plans, specifications, and addenda.

Members also receive the Plans-On-View Bulletin, a comprehensive weekly project listing and bidder information including pre-bid notices, metro Edmonton building permit statistics and federal project information.

2. Networking Opportunities
Members are invited to network with their Industry colleagues at annual Association events. Rich in tradition, these events include a Spring BBQ, Kananaskis Golf Trip, Golf Tournament and Derby Night.

3. Significant Savings
Members receive preferred pricing on purchases of Standard Contracts & Guides. Members can also take advantage of the Group Home & Automobile Insurance Program, Group Employee Benefit Program and Sprint Canada Program as well as save an additional 2.0¢ a litre above existing discounts with Esso & Petro-Canada Fuel Discount Programs. Commissioner for Oaths services are complimentary for members and are available at second-floor reception.

4. Industry News & Information
Members receive the following publications: Edmonton Construction Association – Bulletin Board, Alberta Construction Magazine and Canadian Construction Association – National. The ECA library and archives contain reference material on topics from labor relations to legal issues. Historical industry information and directories are also available. A wide range of Industry resources, Association information and useful links including email and fax directories are available on the Edmonton Construction Association Website, www.edmca.com

5. Exposure
Members are entitled to two business card size classified advertisements in the Bulletin Board at a nominal fee, a publication with a prime audience of some 720 member firms in addition to owners, architects and engineers.

6. The Big Picture
The ECA acts as a voice regarding industry standard practices, policies and procedures to the Federal, Provincial and Municipal Government.
